Magic of the Christmas Tree

Ellie's first Chrismtas! She doesn't really get anything except that we have a big tree in our house with lights on it and boxes underneath covered with crunchy paper. She can pass long periods of time sitting under it and pulling at bows and trying to eat the pine needles.

Now, try not to be jealous. You girls whose husbands aren't sporting as cool of facial hair as this. I actually jumped when I saw it yesterday. Jordan occassionally grows a beard - not very often because his work won't allow it. But to my startled surprise, in the midst of transferring from a beard to a goatee, the world gets this: Dead Sexy. You know you're a redneck when... ...you have mutton chops and are cross-eyed.

Best Halloween Costume

I got this random picture in an email and thought it was hilarious! I'll have to dress up our next child as a lobster for their first Halloween.

Happy 6 1/2 Months

I meant to put up a 1/2 birthday post about this little one, but I never got around to it. She's over half a year old and changing every day! Last week she grew two teeth - they've been moving up and down for ever and finally she got them! I was so excited. She's been SO much happier this week. [And I realize I post a lot of videos of her laughing, but she has become such a good audience. Everything we do is hilarious! It's funny though, we need to come up with new material because she only thinks something is funny once.]

Last Bit o' Summer

WE WERE SO LUCKY to be able to go to St George as a family since Jordan had to go there for his work. This was by far the longest drive Ellie's been on and she did fine - probably better than I did. I seem to stress out far too easily. We spent a day hiking and messing around in Zions, shopped and spent lots and lots of time eating...sushi, gigantic hamburgers, strawberry soup, pizza, pasta.

After 5 hours in the car, Ellie got to stretch out on the hotel bed.

She loved the butter/parmesan stick at the Pizza Factory.

Best hamburger I've ever eaten. We went back the next day because we wanted another one so much.

It was a little too cold for Ellie to swim but luckily it got warm enough in the middle of the day to layout. I just felt lucky to squeeze in one last tanning session before winter.

Around the House

This will be quick bunch of posts and mostly pictures (most of these are on facebook also - )Fall has been SO fun this year! It's been my first with Ellie and that has changed everything. Typically, I have been working working working and this year I swear has been all play! (Mixed in with diapers, bottles, etc)
